Bio

Jelani Asante joined Ramachandran Law PC as an associate in 2020 following his call to the Ontario Bar. Jelani’s current primary areas of practice are civil litigation, real estate, and wills and estates, where he uses a client-centred approach to assess and meet the unique needs of each client he serves. Jelani earned his J.D. at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2014 after graduating from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice in 2010. He previously practiced in the states of New Jersey and New York with a boutique general practice firm based in New York City. Over the course of four years, he represented clients in disputes ranging from corporate law to personal injury. When not practicing law, Jelani enjoys cooking, reading historical fiction, and playing and watching soccer.
